Our story: how Sahara Buggy was born in the heart of the desert

From the first quads in 2008 to the new center in Merzouga, Sahara Buggy has grown as a family project born from the desert and guided by a deep respect for its land.

Plan your route

It all began with sand and engines

A family united by the desert

We grew up among the dunes, accompanying the first travellers who arrived in the desert. From a young age, we learned to read the wind, the terrain and the rhythm of the Sahara.

In 2008 we took our first big step: we bought eight quads and Sahara Buggy was born. Since then, we’ve shared with every traveller what we know best: the thrill of driving on the sand with respect and safety.

We are four siblings born in Merzouga, and our story is woven with sand and hard work.

From that same bond came Riad Madu and Madu Luxury Camp, places that share the same philosophy: offering authentic experiences where hospitality and respect for the environment always go hand in hand.

Every project we create reflects who we are: a desert family committed to its land and its people.

Caring for what cares for us

In the desert, every detail matters.

That’s why our way of working combines precision and respect: every vehicle is checked before departure, every route is carefully planned and every experience is guided with close attention.

Cleaning, maintenance and seriousness are not just routines: they are the foundation of a safe and responsible adventure.

We grow to create more opportunities

The new Sahara Buggy center marks a new stage: more space to train, create and care.

Our growth is not only about moving forward, but about generating positive impact: supporting local employment, encouraging training and opening new doors for the community.

Among our next projects is the opening of a laundry run by women, helping strengthen their role in the local economy.

Because for us, growing means sharing what the desert has taught us: respect, balance and purpose.

Mission

Guiding experiences that respect the desert

We promote responsible tourism rooted in emotion and awareness.
Every route, every decision and every improvement seeks to balance adventure with environmental protection and people’s wellbeing.

Values

Respect, commitment and authenticity

We work with trust, cooperation and love for our land.
We believe that growing means sharing, caring and leaving a positive impact on those who visit us and on those who live here.

Looking towards the future

The desert taught us that everything changes, yet nothing is forgotten.

Every step seeks balance between innovation and memory: moving forward without leaving a mark, and sharing what we’ve learned with those who shape the future of the Sahara.

Our commitment to the SDGs drives education, equality and climate action from a local perspective.

Innovation with purpose

We incorporate technology that enhances safety and reduces environmental impact while preserving the essence of the desert.

Opportunities that transform

We train and employ young people from the desert, creating opportunities for the future and strengthening the local community.

Culture and legacy

We preserve Saharan identity and share its history on every route—with respect, authenticity and pride.

Action and coherence

We act with environmental responsibility, protecting the land that makes every adventure possible.
